Aftercare
advice
- Redness and swelling
- Tenderness
- Blister formation within 24 to 48 hours
- The area may weep or crust during healing
- Temporary darkening or lightening of the skin
- Mild itching during healing
Keep The Area Clean
Gently clean the area daily with mild soap and water. Pat dry carefully. Do not scrub the treated area.
Do Not Pick Or Burst Blisters
Allow any blisters to resolve naturally. Picking increases the risk of infection and scarring.
Protect From The Sun
Apply SPF 50+ daily to the treated area once healing has begun.
Avoid Irritants
- Do not apply perfumed products, retinoids or active skincare until fully healed
- Avoid swimming in pools or the ocean during healing
- Avoid picking crusts or scabs
Most lesions heal fully within 2 to 4 weeks depending on the size and depth of treatment. Pigment changes may take longer to fully resolve.
Please contact the clinic promptly if you experience significant increasing pain, signs of infection, unusual discharge, fever, or any symptoms causing concern.
