The following reactions are common and expected:

• Mild swelling
• Bruising
• Tenderness or sensitivity
• Temporary firmness
• Small palpable lumps
• Mild asymmetry during the settling phase

First 24 Hours

Avoid touching or pressing on the treated area, strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, and active skincare including retinoids, AHAs and BHAs. Use gentle skincare only.

Days 2–5

Swelling and bruising may become more noticeable before improving. Keep the area clean, stay hydrated, sleep with your head elevated, and avoid excessive heat and vigorous exercise.

Week 1–2

Most swelling and bruising should gradually resolve. Avoid facial massage, waxing, laser treatments, IPL, chemical peels, and aggressive skin treatments over the area.

Final results are typically assessed after approximately 2 weeks once swelling has fully settled. Review appointments may be recommended at this stage.

Use gentle cleansers and moisturisers, wear SPF 50+ daily, avoid excessive sun exposure, maintain hydration, and follow any personalised skincare advice provided by your doctor.

Results vary depending on treatment area, product used, individual metabolism and lifestyle factors. Results may last from approximately 6 months to several years.

Please contact the clinic promptly if you experience increasing or severe pain, significant swelling, unusual skin colour changes, blistering, signs of infection, rash or allergic reaction, or any symptoms causing concern.
